Just for fun, lets turn back to the clock for when I was kind of developing the entire idea of Weasel Knight. I think the name was pretty early on and the idea stems from two main things. The Second of these was from where most my imagination comes from: The Sega Genesis. There was a game called Rocket Knight Adventures (yeah!) and it was a favorite of mine for featuring this funny little opossum guy, Sparkster!
What is the stupidest X to Y?
This idea is the FIRST part of what led too Weasel Knights creation. It’s the quintessential question that birth the reptilian quartet we all know and love, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Two guys asked “What is the stupidest animal to be a ninja?” and behold. Being into tabletop games I thought “What is the stupidest thing to be a paladin?” which lead me to think of what untrustworthy character would be hilarious in armor spouting the cornball affirmations typical of noble lawful good paladins. Why, a creatures whose very race is a euphemism for shady dealings and thievery! Weasel Knight! Here’s some initial drawings, dubbed “Proto Weasels”
